Ideateca, the idea factory of Eneko Knörr

Eneko Knörr is a great reference for me as an entrepreneur. I believe he has made a great company out of Hostalia and transmits very good ideas in his blog relating to the world of business and entrepreneurship. He is a simple person, very intelligent and it heartens me to see that after selling Hostalia, he continues to launch new projects within a new company called Ideateca.

Ideateca is described as a factory of ideas, it’s an incubator for internet projects that starts with two initiatives already functioning and with the objective of entering the themes they consider profitable.

There are three projects that are already up and running in Ideateca: Anuncioteca, a classifieds website; Videolandia, a video portal; and two islands in Second Life. Soon they will be launching in Ideateca a flash games portal, applications for mobiles and a service for photologs, amongst other things.

I find it very interesting how Eneko is starting his new business adventure. Being an expert in the world of internet, he has detected those sectors that could attract huge traffic and convert into big business. Through his extensive experience, he will be able to contribute interesting new things in each of those sectors.

Let me conclude saying that in Ideateca they are hiring professionals to work in their projects, mostly they are looking for PHP-MySQL programmers who live in the area of Bilbao.

Media Reload, advertising network specialising in blogs

Media Reload

Ruben Colomer, Juan Luis Hortelano and Mariano Amartino present us their new project, Media Reload, an advertising network specialising in blogs, social networks and the new media.

It’s very interesting to read the principles upon which Media Reload is based with regards to the support and the advertisers. The principles are the ones that we all look for when it comes to advertising on our blogs, but unfortunately do not always coincide with the principles followed by the advertising agencies. Hope that at Media Reload, they will always maintain these ideas and that the work that they do from now on will help improve the business of advertising in the world of blogs.

Right from the start, Media Reload can count with two blog networks, the social network Catodicos and two important blogs: Online and Celularis.

From Loogic, I wish them lots of success to these three entrepreneurs, whom I also consider to be friends, and I know that they will do a great job with this new company and that we all will benefit from it.

La Caixa presents Club Emprendedor XXI

Club Emprendedor XXI

Jesus Monleon just presented the social network for entrepreneurs Club Emprendedor XXI as part of the initiative of La Caixa to support entrepreneurs, which has been evident in the last few years through the sponsorship of events that present projects to investors.

The benefits of participating in Club Entrepreneur XXI are the following:

- Access to a group of companies and professionals with whom to exchange experiences and discover new opportunities.

- Access to the program of funding for entrepreneurs of “la caixa”.

- Entrance to exclusive events for entrepreneurs.

- Exclusive information for entrepreneurs.

More initiatives like this are the need of the hour in the world of entrepreneuring. This is the way to help entrepreneurs, and not by advertising campaigns.

eGauss, the new project of Jorge Mata

eGauss

Jorge Mata is one of the most prestigious entrepreneurs of the hispanic internet, mainly due to the creation of Myalert (now Blinko) and due to the success of Berggi.

As told by Rodolfo Carpintier, investor in Berggi, Jorge Mata is in the process of starting a new project these days called eGauss, dedicated to online education.

eGauss are support classes for secondary school and high school, given in video by specialized professors. Subjects available at present are Mathematics, Chemistry and Art History.

The business model of eGauss, I believe is spot on. They charge a small monthly quota of 6 euros for access to the content, something which I am sure parents will pay happily to see their children dedicate more time in improving their knowledge of certain subjects.

If in eGauss they are capable of attracting the interest of parents who pay that quota and start generating interesting revenues, there could be other opportunities to create utilities such as an advice section for doubts, database of notes, … it’s clear that the internet could do a lot for education and this could be a good beginning.

Vote for eGauss in Loogic Rank.
