In eyeOS they are inaugurating their new website and I think that it’s a good opportunity to understand the business model of this project of which we talk about a lot over here.
Until now we have been used to see eyeOS in its .org model, which has been now named Free Software Platform, but the real business of this project lies in business solutions which, in fact, they have already started to execute for some important companies in Europe.
I believe that with this, one can understand a lot better what I wrote a few months ago when I put forth the business path of eyeOS. What they have been doing at eyeOS since quite some time is to offer their platform for technology companies, and educational and public institutions.
I wish that the folks at eyeOS could publicly disclose some of the projects in which they are already working as I feel it would be something really worth writing about and also would serve to check how the intelligence and tenacity of these young entrepreneurs can yield big results.
Vote for EyeOS in Loogic Rank.

Second investment in the Chilean Web 2.0 within a week. The other day we saw an investment of 500.000 dollars in Needish and now we have this more modest but also interesting investment of 80.000 dollars in Meeting.
This investment comes from Corfo, the state organization responsible for the promotion of national developmental activity in Chile.
Meeting is a service that provides virtual rooms for meetings, mainly targetting the world of education and business.

A quick post to comment on what has happened in the iWeekend held this weekend in Barcelona.
From the ideas presented on Friday evening, the idea selected was Democratic Advertising and on Saturday they started working on it. It seems that the first hours of work on the idea were filled with tension because they couldn’t come to agreement on the method of working.
The idea was first named LimonAds, but a cheeky/greedy/creepy/thief was quicker and stole the domain name, so they quickly changed the name to AdLemons, which I like more.
From what it seems, they have had time to shape the business idea, but I don’t know much more. I think that a weekend falls short for starting a web and do the first trials. It would be interesting to see how the project develops from now on.

Loogic is the blog of reference dedicated to the internet business and Web 2.0 in Spanish. This blog is edited by Javier MartÃn and owned by the company Inventa Internet.
Since 2005 Loogic has grown to become one of the most influential blogs in Spain.
The position in the rankings top.blogs and wikio is the proof of this.
